Red Truck California Red Wine 2005

got this one from a friend. a blend of syrah, petite syrah, cab franc, grenache, and mourvedre. i wanted to like it based on the blend of grapes. the nose was cherry and raspberry and spice. the taste is very fruit forward up front and you get hints of licorice, chocolate and spice on the back but this is a pizza, burger, or in my case, chipotle wine. not as much substance as i had hoped for, but drinkable. and it sells for about $8-9, so well within the cheaper budget. just not much there to get excited about.
