Twisted Pig 2006 Pinot Grigio

i had to buy this one for two reasons: the name and the price ($7.99). this one was worth the price, although it wasn't spectacular. on the nose, grass and lemon with hints of minerals. not much to the aroma. very subtle. and on the palate it was similar. lemon, citrus, green, a little mineral. a little sweetness. the wine was a bit tight, but very drinkable. a nice one for every day with snacks on the deck. at this price, i would consider it again. it isn't as good as barefoot pinot grigio at this same price point. and it won't compete with those really good pinot grigio's. but it will quench that summer time thirst.

In my neck of the woods (upstate NY) this is $4.99 -- definitely worth the price

thanks for your comments and for visiting the blog page. unfortunately in the state of ohio the price of alcohol includes a lot of taxes. drives up the price which stinks. enjoy the wine…cheers

Just got a bottle of the 2007 in Sebastian, Florida. Very light and refreshing in taste with subtle sweet lemon flavor while maintaining just enough of a subtle dry grape taste you expect in a Pinot. I really like it. It suits the weather here and is really refreshing. I can see drinking a cold bottle of this specially on a hot day with company. A real treat that I as a lover of Pinot will buy again and again given the consistency remains. Will definitely recommend to friends. Yes, the price is right as well. Keep it up!
